Epson Photo P6000
Christo van Gemert
You don't have your PC with you on the camping trip in the deepest bushveld and your 4GB memory card has filled up on day one of your seven-night bush safari. You also can't really see on your camera's display which of the photos to keep and which to delete to make space to take more pics. What do you do?

Get an Epson P6000 Photo viewer. Its four-inch, high-definition, high-gamut screen shows up more detail than your digital camera's paltry 2.5-inch display. Slot in an SD or Compact Flash card, load your photos onto the 80GB drive and carry on shooting, then review the photos later.

The P6000 can also play movies and sound so you can have some entertainment at hand when it is raining outside and you are stuck in your tent in the middle of nowhere.

The P6000 has very limited applications. However, it's not a bad device, it's just not something many people will need. It's also not something that is needed, because any situation where you'll need it can be remedied with extra memory cards and spare batteries. The P6000 does have a lovely screen, though.
