 Absa goes mobile

For those banking with Absa or thinking of banking with Absa, you’ll be glad to know that the financial institution now also has a mobile portal, which customers can access from their cellphones.
The portal, according to Absa, is a single-entry point allowing customers to interact with the bank, as it continues to become more customer-focussed.
The mobile portal can be accessed by going to http://www.absa.mobi on your phone and, says the bank, will give customers access to Cellphone Banking, general information on Absa products and services, and click-to-call functionality.
 The mobile portal will further offer tools, such as ATM and branch locators, and a repayment calculator, as well as what the bank calls lifestyle mobile value added services, which include Absa MegaU and Absa Life Extreme.
As today’s environment is requiring us to be more mobile and to do things on the go, this portal could just mean solving a lot of Absa clients’ geographical and logistical woes.
