FacebookFacebook to offer
simpler privacy

By Tallulah Habib
After great controversy concerning Facebook's Privacy policies, the company has announced it will be simplifying things.

"People want easier control over their information," admits Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg.
In a column in the Washington Post yesterday (24 May), Zuckerburg said that the site has received and reviewed feedback from users.

"Simply put, many of you thought our controls were too complex. Our intention was to give you lots of granular controls, but that may not have been what many of you wanted. We just missed the mark," says the billionaire.

He says we can expect simpler privacy controls in the next few weeks. However, as of yet there is no indication of what these changes might be.

"I'd like to show an improved product rather than just talk about things we might do," said Zuckerburg in an e-mail to blogger and tech enthusiast Robert Scoble.
