Medal of HonourGames galore

There has been a lot of news in terms of gaming this past week. Here is a short recap of news from the gaming world.

Microsoft has unveiled Age of Empires Online, as a new addition to its Age of Empires franchise and LIVE-enabled titles, along with an announcement of the development of Microsoft Flight, a new entry inspired by the best-selling Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise.

The company says that the new titles are fully integrated with the free Games for Windows – LIVE online service to deliver an increased connected gameplay experience.

Age of Empires Online, notes the company, spurs users on to create a living, growing online world, shared with friends and friendly rivals around the globe.

Microsoft Flight, the company adds, “will bring a new perspective to the long-standing genre, welcoming everyone, including long-time fans, to experience the magic of flight.”

Electronic Arts Sports (EA Sports) has also developed a new feature called “Be A Goalkeeper” for the FIFA 11 title.

Electronic Arts SportsThis, EA says, will allow gamers to experience the thrill of playing as the keeper. Another new feature is that all 22 players on the pitch will now also be placed in the hands of players, if they choose.

EA notes that the new feature will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and will be available to South Africans on 1 October.

The new Medal of Honour title will also be available on 11 October, EA announced.
