IXUS range expands
Theo Boshoff
Our trusted friends at Canon have expanded the super-stylish IXUS range with the addition of the IXUS 130 and IXUS 105 digital cameras.

According to Cannon, the slim, smooth IXUS 130 is the thinnest IXUS they have ever made at only 1.78cm at its thickest point. The IXUS 130 is a 14.1-megapixel camera and the IXUS 105 a 12.1-megapixel camera.

Both models incorporate a 28mm wide-angle lens with 4x zoom and come with easy-to-use features. The cameras sport Canon’s Face Detection Technology that ensures everyone in the pic is best captured. Also nifty is the interesting ways you can take the pic and release the shutter, by winking at the camera or maybe even smiling. It's completely different and fun, compared to pressing the button, don't you think?

The cameras, featuring Smart Auto with Scene Detection Technology, also automatically select settings. There are 18 shooting scenes for the IXUS 105 and 22 for the IXUS 130.
When the user shakes it, the incorporated optical Image stabiliser and Motion Detection Technology will ensure that your images are void of any blur.

Both cameras also support video capture, but the IXUS 130 goes a step further and sports HD quality footage that can be watched with friends on an HDTV.
