By Theo Boshoff
We haven't heard much from the Packard Bell people in a while, but the company has just introduced seven new laptops that will be available at Incredible Connection stores countrywide.

Motorcycle fans will be happy to hear that one of the models available is the Valentino Rossi signature netbook, featuring Rossi’s helmet design on the cover.

According to Packard Bell, the ‘Rossi’ VR46 features a 1,3GHz Pentium Dual Core processor, 3GB RAM, 320GB hard disk drive, Bluetooth and a six-cell battery.

Also available is the dot m/u netbook, featuring eight-hour battery life. It’s available in two colours - NightSky Black and Cherry Red.

The Packard Bell Butterfly xs is yet another of the models available and, according to the company, it is the first 11.6-inch netbook with a DVD writer included.

Then there is the dot s2, which has a lifestyle design and comes in glossy red, white or black. The dot s2, according to Packard Bell, sports ten hours of battery life and is about the size of a magazine and only one inch (2.5cm) thick, weighing only 1.25kg.

The M series devices on sale, says Packard Bell, provide a new feature in social networking, with a single key launching a stylised, easy-to-use sidebar on the right side of the screen for easy access and navigation to social networking sites.

The company says that the notebook range includes performance-designed products such as the LM85, available in glossy red or black with a 2,26GHz (up to 2,53GHz) Intel ore i5 processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 640GB hard disk drive, an Nvidia GT320 1GB graphics card and integrated Bluetooth.
