Sansa ClipSansa Clip + gets memory
By Theo Boshoff
For all music lovers out there who want a more affordable MP3 player for music on the go, the new Sansa Clip + from SanDisk has just been introduced.

What makes this one different from its predecessor is that it now sports an external memory microSD/SDHC card slot to add more storage space for songs when the player’s onboard memory is already filled. Users can add about 4 000 songs on a SanDisk 16GB card to use with the device.

The company also says that it features a new and improved user interface, which allows for easier integration and navigation between the card and the MP3 player – enabling users to select tracks on the card and add to playlists on the device with ease.

Sansa ClipThe SanDisk microSD cards are also compatible with other devices that can take MicroSD cards, which means you can easily move the content from one devise to another. The Sansa Clip + player also support slotRadio and slotMusic cards as well as any standard microSD card.

The new player further includes a FM Tuner with 40 presets to listen to your favourite radio station, and sports a microphone to make voice notes while you are on the run. And the built in equalizer allows users to fine-tune their listening experience.

The battery, according to SanDisk, offers up to 15 hours of listening time, which is always a bonus.

The new Sansa Clip + MP3 player is available in red, blue or black and retails for about R700 from major IT retail stores.
