Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has renamed its accessories portfolio and has introduced new products in this portfolio, which it says, will give customers an enhanced talking, playing and listening experience on the go.

The accessories portfolio will from now on be called Sony Ericsson Extras, and is divided into four categories - Talk, Play, Listen and Go, which Sonja Shear, market unit head at Sony Ericsson South Africa, says will make it much easier for consumers to choose the correct product for their requirements.

“We want consumers to experience their mobile phone to its highest potential and Sony Ericsson Extras will enable them to find the perfect accessory for their needs,” she adds.

In terms of the four new Sony Ericsson Extras categories, the Talk category speaks for itself and will feature products that enhance voice calls, such as Bluetooth and wired headsets. The Play category will feature accessories, according to the company, to turn handsets into something for the gadget lover, while the Listen category will offer accessories for everyday easy audio solutions, which include mobile speaker solutions.

Sony EricssonThe Go category, notes Shear, will offer products that allow for easy data transfers and charging options.

The company has also launched two new Bluetooth headsets - the VH110 and the VH410 as the first products under the new Extra Talk category.
Says Shear: “The VH110 is ultra-affordable, while the VH410 guarantees crystal-clear conversations and super-simple call handling.” The headsets, she also notes, can be used with other Bluetooth devices and are not only for Sony Ericsson handsets. "Through Sony Ericsson Extras, we want to make talking more enjoyable, with more choice and more affordable options,” she says.
