Using the cloud
Theo Boshoff
If you are a business person and want to turn your phone into a complete workplace, you might want to consider getting an iPhone.
We are not advertising for Apple or saying that you must get an iPhone or even saying that any other smartphones are inferior, we simply mention this as Cortado is about to release an application (Cortado Workplace) that, through cloud desktop features, can transform an iPhone into a fully functional workplace. Well, that is what they say.
According to the company, the new solution, at its core, features a password protected 1GB online storage facility, which can be used to upload work documents and files to be uploaded directly via the iPhone.
The application will also be available for PC and Mac users, who will be able to do the file transfers, either via an internet browser or e-mail.
Due to Cortado's Virtual Desktop Process technology cloud storage can now be displayed and forwarded via e-mail and these documents can be printed to almost any networked printer connected to the iPhone.
The company also adds that the free application offers iPhoe users Windows Explorer file manager features.
If you are a business person and an iPhone user, go try it out at www.cortado.com/wp-iphone.
