Cell C offers BlackBerry
By Theo Boshoff
Cell C subscribers didn’t have the opportunity to experience BlackBerry phones and sefvices, until now.
Cell C will now be offering its subscribers access to Research in Motion's (RIM's) BlackBerry smartphones and services as part of Cell C's rollout of its new 4th generation (4G) network, offering faster data speeds.
The company says that at launch, its subscribers will have a choice of getting the BlackBerry Curve 8520, Curve 8900 or Bold 9700 smartphones.
Corporate or business customers will also have access to BlackBerry Enterprise Server, while consumers and smaller businesses will be able to subscribe to BlackBerry Internet Services.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server will allow businesses to easily integrate their e-mails and backend servers with employees using BlackBerry phones.
With the BlackBerry Internet Service bundles, consumers will be able to access personal e-mail accounts (up to ten) as well as other internet data services.
According to Cell C, the three BlackBerry phones are all available on current Cell C postpaid packages, such as the BlackBerry All Week 100 package, which offers subscribers 100 anytime minutes across all networks as well as BlackBerry Internet Service for R199 per month.
Other packages include a R57-per-month package for BlackBerry Internet Service, both for prepaid and contract customers, as well as a R114-per-month BlackBerry Enterprise Server package.
