Close, closer, too close?

Camera maker Olympus has released its new, ultra-slim µ series compact cameras, featuring increased zoom capabilities.
The new cameras retain the original µ series size and good looks, but now feature up to 10x wide optical zoom. The camera’s internal memory has also been increased and most boast HD movie-recording capabilities.
The µ-7040 and µ-9010, 14-megapixel models have hit the shelves, featuring HD movie recording capability and HDMI connections with up to 2GB internal memory.
The cameras’ optical zoom capability stretches from the wide-angle 7x (28-196mm) of the µ-7040, to the 10x (28-280mm) of the µ-9010.
Both cameras also feature the new Photo Surfing option to easily find and review captured shots, and photos can now, through Olympus developed technology, also be tagged by event, person, or location, using face recognition and GPS functions.
The cameras, furthermore, feature Dual Image Stabilisation – combining mechanical and digital image stabilisation, i-Auto, AF Tracking, Beauty Mode, and In-Camera Panorama.
