2010 Fifa World Cup

Now anyone who wants to play in the 2010 Soccer World Cup can do so, as the Electronic Arts (EA) game - 2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa - will be in stores across the country from tomorrow.The game’s availability in South Africa was hampered and postponed as a result of logistical reasons, but has been available in Asia and Europe since last week already.
According to EA, the game features eight new Coca-Cola Goal Celebrations for the PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles, which players can unlock to see the virtual celebrations, including the emotions caused by every goal that is scored, as well as and Classic 11 Team Available to Unlock
The long anticipated game is also available for the Wii, PSP, iPod touch and iPhone.
2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa also features all 199 teams that took part in the qualification rounds for the real World Cup, which kicks off on 11 June in Johannesburg. Players will also be able to choose where to play from the ten official stadiums in South Africa, built and refurbished for the real deal.
According to EA: “Gamers will be able to play as their home nation from qualification right through to a virtual reproduction of the Fifa World Cup Final.”
EA games have also included a special Classic 11 team, made up of 35 players from past tournaments, which players can unlock and choose to play as.
The game further includes new controls such as the two-button controls that enable new gamers to pass and shoot with an accessible control scheme that uses only two buttons.
