Firefox 4Firefox 4 plans revealed
By Tallulah Habib
The next generation of the popular browser Firefox is set to be "Fast, friendly and empowering" for users, according to a slideshow released by Mozilla's director of Firefox,
Mike Beltzner.

While early screenshots were released last year, we have been waiting eagerly for more tech specs.

Beltzner has revealed that the browser will be fast, HTML5-ready, have multi-touch support along with Firefox Sync, geolocation and background updates. The revamped user interface will give users more control over their web experience, while the browser also promises better stability and a range of dev tools for web developers.

You can view more details in Beltzner's slideshow here.

"Please understand that these plans are fluid and are likely to change," warns Beltzner. “We always judge each milestone release against our basic criteria of quality, performance and usability, and we only ship when it's ready."

At the moment the beta release is set for June.
