Another long awaited first person shooter game for gaming aficionados and fans has finally arrived in SA, as Electronic Arts' (EA's) Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is in stores now.
The game has a large following across the globe, and as an action-packed online multiplayer game, ranking very high on the serious gaming crowd's list of favourites.
As the name suggests, and for those who don't know, it’s all to do with warfare - modern warfare, destruction and mayhem. The stuff most guys (and some girls) love.
Updates to the game include better scenery and landscapes and more intense vehicle battles. Gamers can also completely destroy the environments where battles take place - like in flatten it all.
One drawcard to this game is its dedicated server for a better and smoother online gaming experience. Also cool is the game’s sandbox environment, offering more freedom than more linear games.
According to the company, the PC version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is now also 3D-ready, playable in DirectX® 11, and allows for multiple monitor play.
The game is available locally for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The PC game's recommended retail price is R350 and the PS3 and Xbox sells for R599.
