 Mobile data skyrockets

Mobile phones and laptops have come a long way in the past ten years and what were traditionally devices with which to make calls or e-mail and surf the internet, have changed into complete mobile communications gadgets.
According to the guys at Ericsson, mobile data traffic globally has nearly tripled in the last year, growing more than ten times faster than voice traffic.
Ericsson statistics show that the global measured mobile data traffic is close to 225 000 terabytes per month in the second quarter of this year.
 The company says that there are over five billion mobile subscriptions worldwide today and it envisions an amount of close to 50 billion connected devices by 2020.
