As most of our readers will know already, we simply love eReaders and are therefore very excited that Circuit City Electronics has brought the iRiver Story to local shores.
The iRiver Story eReader is available at Dion Wired, Capi Electronics, The Gadget Shop, Sandton Stationers and will soon also be sold at Incredible Connection stores.
According to Circuit City Electronics CEO Steve Nossel, the Story from iRiver is being bundled with R300 worth of free e-books from Kalahari.net. The device itself will retail for about R2 700.
The eReader sports a six-inch e-ink display and Qwerty keyboard in the usual slim and super-light form factor, and, says Nossel, allows for over 8 000 page turns before the battery needs to be recharged.
The device supports multiple eBook file formats, including the popular ePub format and users will also be able to read comic books or graphic novels.
Also featured in the device is an MP3 player, voice recorder, personal organiser and a diary.
