Life, it seems, is all about security these days - physical and otherwise. In light of this, Drive Control Corporation is now selling Verbatim's new Executive Secure USB Drive, which is more focussed on keeping electronic data secure and away from people who mean harm.

The Executive Secure USB Drive comes in three sizes: 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. It features read speeds of up to 11Mbps and write speeds of 8Mbps.

The real service of this drive, however, is in its data security abilities. The hard drive's security functions to help users protect their data include 256-bit AES hardware encryption and a password hashing algorithm to make it even more difficult for people to access the drive and steal precious and sensitive information. The drive furthermore sport a password entry security function that automatically deletes all stored data from the drive after 20 failed access attempts.
