Sony has released the new range of small and compact Vaio P Series Lifestyle PCs sporting some dazzling new colours that are perfect for the person needing some vibrancy in their lives - available in black, white, pink, and orange.
The company has also introduced new one-touch button features to make operation easier and the user experience more fun.
The Vaio P Series PCs weigh in at around 600g and are made for the person that is always on the move. Their weight, compact size, integrated wireless LAN and what the company calls a ‘mobile grip style’ design make them a great companion on the road and easy to pop into any bag, even a jacket pocket if need be.
The PCs feature a stick pointer, which is situated in the middle of the keyboard, as well as a touchpad and mouse buttons, which are located at both sides of the screen to make it easier to operate with both thumbs while the user is holding the PC in both hands.
According to Sony, the new VAIO P Series PCs also feature a built-in accelerometer to again ease some operations, such as shaking the device to skip through photos, pages of PDF documents or to navigate back and forth through your web browsing history, as well as changing the screen orientation automatically between portrait and landscape mode.
As with most PCs these days, the Vaio devices also come with an integrated GPS with a Digital Compass, enhancing the user’s experience when it comes to using location-based technologies.
The new Vaio PCs further include dedicated buttons, which include the ‘web button’ that allows instant access to the web without having to boot up the Windows operating system, as well as the ‘assist button’, giving one-touch access to Vaio Care, which the company says simplifies basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to keep your Vaio in a good condition.
There is also a one-touch ‘resolution change button’ allowing the user to easily switch the resolution of the LCD from 1 600 x 800 to 1 280 x 600.
The new Vaio P115 retails for R11 999, and the P116 (with 3G) for R13 999.
