Aspen is unveiled
Theo Boshoff
Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new business-focused cellphone in its GreenHeart portfolio, called the Aspen. As part of the GreenHeart portfolio, the Aspen is a more environmentally friendly smartphone for those who do care about the future of Mother Earth.

It is a Windows-based phone with a full QWERTY keyboard in the similar style as the BlackBerry and Nokia E72 smartphones, but it also features a touch screen, which the others don’t.

The Aspen features a built-in GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Google Maps, optimised media player, easy one-click access to the internet, as well as most business applications. It is, according to Sony Ericsson, a great balance between a business and personal phone.

Also included is Microsoft’s MyPhone service, which remotely erases all your phone data if it gets lost or stolen, in order to protect your sensitive data and information.

According to the company, the Aspen will be available from around May in selected markets, and will be available in two colours - Iconic Black and White Silver.
