Google Wave open to the public
Posted by: The Source on May 19, 2010
I am not a fan of Google Buzz and if I didn’t see the news feed via my Google Reader I would have forgotten about Google Wave and that I received an invite to it.
To be honest, I think I used it 3 times since I received the invite. To be more honest, I cannot tell you what I did one of those times because I still have no idea what it is all about, it is stupid.
Learn from your failures
I am now sitting here wondering about these two products that Google is trying to get off the ground. Could it be that Google has failed with them?
They created all this hype surrounding Buzz and Wave yet it isn’t really gaining the same amount of interest as say Twitter and Facebook. Currently I think people are more open to creating a MySpace profile than actually taking a look at Buzz and Wave.
This also brings to mind the #SUPERFAIL Orkut.
I think I have a profile on that as well but I am not sure. The thing is that Google cannot expect everything they put into the market to turn into gold for them. I am very happy with using Gmail and Gtalk and from time to time (mostly on the Netbook) I make use of their Chrome browser.
I have played around with the Android OS on the latest Motorola Milestone and I was very impressed with it. Some of their product simply doesn’t make sense. It might be that I am getting old and prefer to stick to the things that work for me.
Or maybe Buzz and Wave are crap and over rated...
