Google in class action
Posted by: EgbertFly on Feb 18, 2010
Apparently the Buzz at Google is that the new Buzz seeks to make public your most frequent e-mail contacts. This is a feature of Google’s Buzz. So as a result a certain Eva Hibnick from Florida is a taking Google to court. She has filed law suits in both San Francisco and Washington DC in the U.S.A. She is apparently filing the lawsuit on behalf of the 31.2 million users who use Buzz.
Now I am sure that there are quite a few people that use MyDL that also have a Gmail account and as a result thereof use Buzz. If this includes you, then you are part of the 31.2 million users.
Now I am sure that there is an obscene amount of money involved in this class action lawsuit, so thus you as a Buzz user are supposed to be expecting some money in the not too distant future.Personally I don't think so.
But then from the other side, this Eva woman has embarked on a course on behalf of all the Buzz users, but I wonder how many she has contacted that use Buzz. Does it not occur to her that she has not asked our permission to proceed with the lawsuit? Can we sue her in turn?
