Microsoft Office 2010
Posted by: barrmar on Feb 08, 2010
After many years of frustration with MS Office 2003, I decided to try out MS Office 2010 Beta. I downloaded the full application about two weeks ago and have enjoyed using it ever since.
Office 2010 is a Beta version, meaning that it has been released for the general public to try out and to iron out any bugs or errors that have not been detected after testing.
Having migrated directly from the 2003 version, I have no idea of the functionality of Office 2007. I can only guess that some of the features of 2010 originated there.
My impressions so far is that Office 2010 is an outstanding product. I have not experienced a single glitch. No frozen screens, no crashes, no unwanted reformatting. The menu bars offer a customisable platform to set up the tools that you use most.
The functionality is really great. Much is as yet untried, such as the integration with Windows Live - Microsoft's cloud for sharing documents quickly and easily.
For the moment this software is free. I guess that the Beta licence will expire sooner or later and I will be forced to pay for the official release. I could not go back to 2003! |
