Watch the World Cup soccer FREE on the internet
Posted by: riiaan on Jun 15, 2010

That picture up there - live soccer on my laptop as I work. Boy, what a mission to get it up and running. I had to go through site after site full of fake promises. The long march to watching footy on my laptop
I wondered if it was possible to watch soccer on the internet while at work so I searched Google for "watch live soccer". The results were nothing short of terrible. Millions of links promising "watch soccer for free", none of them of course were free. Most notably, free.football.tv cost $20 to join, it is not much but it is not free as advertised, is it? Assholes.
After searching far and wide I eventually arrived at Myp2p. They had a bunch of links to free broadcasts on the internet the only problem was getting it to work. To watch an online stream you have to first install a client application that can display the video streams.
There are various ones available but which one to choose? The first one I got had a virus in it. The next one was virus free but did not work well, it just displayed the text "buffering" over and over again.
Than I noticed a link, somewhere to the bottom of the page, that said "Media Player". I clicked on it and it worked immediately. I could have saved myself a lot of trouble if I spotted it earlier.

So if you want to watch soccer / football live on the internet and you have Windows Media Player 11 installed on your pc do the following:
Goto the site MyP2P
- Goto the site MyP2p
- Click the Live Sport tab
- Select World Cup 2010
- Select the game you want to watch
- A massive selection of different available streams will be displayed. Look through them for a MediaPlayer link.
- Click on the link and the game should open in a new webpage without any hassels.
It is that easy. |
